Obtain the phone number

Stripe, the payment processor, requires the payee to provide a customer service phone number. By default, Stripe publishes the phone number on receipts. The payee may hide the phone number on receipts. However, it's unclear if the phone number is made public through other means. Twilio offers phone numbers. The payee may provide a Twilio phone number to Stripe, so their personal phone number is not published to payers.

Required inputs

Instruction Set

• Create a Twilio account using the domain email address.
  • Click the link in the verification email from Twilio.
  • Verify a preexisting, personal phone number.
• Upgrade from trial account to full account.
  • Input address.
  • Fund the account using the debit card.
• Buy a Twilio phone number, hereinafter called the phone number.
  • Input desired phone number area code; search.
  • Buy the phone number.
• The phone number's automated response may be created after the server is obtained.
